Yana Mayevskaya is committed to the wellbeing of children, youth, and families, as well as strengthening child protection systems. Prior to joining Action Research, Yana worked for the Care and Protection of Children Learning Network at Columbia University and consulted on several evaluations of empowerment programs for women and girls globally. Her experience includes quantitative and qualitative tool development and analysis, along with data collection and management. In addition to research and evaluation, she has six years of experience developing, implementing, and managing programs for young people and their families in San Francisco. Yana received her B.A. in Biology/Environmental Studies from UC Santa Cruz and her MPH from the Mailman School of Public Health at Columbia University.
