Scott Koenig

Research associate

Scott Koenig is a social scientist committed to using rigorous research methods to build a more humane child welfare system.Before joining Action Research, Scott worked as a graduate researcher at Brooklyn College, where he aimed to understand how a young person’s social environment shapes their mental well-being. He also taught undergraduate courses on research methods and statistics at Brooklyn College. In addition, he worked as a data analysis consultant with the Workforce Professionals Training Institute and volunteered with the American Psychological Association’s NGO branch at the United Nations. Scott received his PhD and master’s in psychology from the Graduate Center of the City University of New York and his bachelor’s degree in neuroscience from Ohio State University.
