Carlos Larancuent

Research associate

Carlos Larancuent is a seasoned performance evaluator with experience in helping programs and teams improve through a data-driven approach. At Action Research, Carlos uses his analytic skills and deep knowledge of child welfare administrative data, policy, and practice to support New York City child welfare reform efforts.

Prior to joining Action Research, Carlos served as Manager of Performance Evaluation at a New York City based child welfare agency. In this role, he partnered with the program leadership as well as individual teams from across the agency to improve the outcomes of the children, families and communities with whom they worked. Carlos worked collaboratively to develop metrics and targets while also supporting the teams around progress towards their goals. Additionally, Carlos has worked with diverse populations in New York, California and Minnesota to ease access to city services, social safety net services and to enhance workplace conditions.

He has a BA from Boston University and a Master’s in Public Administration from Baruch College.
